Autumn walks around Siusi allo Sciliar/Seis am Schlern
Autumn days around Siusi allo Sciliar/Seis am Schlern are perfect for a walk in the greenery. Put on your walking boots and off you go! We’ve put together three hiking tips for you.
- Oswald-von-Wolkenstein Trail: a circular route starting from the valley station of the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm cable car, just under two hours’ walking time, with 15 stops. It leads through the Hauenstein Forest, past the Hauenstein ruins, where the minstrel lived hundreds of years ago. Barely any incline, and easily accessible even in late autumn. Just a few minutes’ journey from the hotel on the free shuttle bus.
- Bad Ratzes and Lake Fiè/Völser Weiher: a peaceful forest path to the historic healing spring at the foot of Mt Sciliar/Schlern, continuing from there to Lake Fiè/Völser Weiher. The small lake is nestled amongst larch trees, which turn golden in October.
- A section of the Keschtnweg: the “Chestnut Trail” winds its way across the sun-drenched slopes of the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal valley between Bolzano and Brixen, right through ancient chestnut groves. It can be comfortably covered in daily stages, and with the Südtirol Guest Pass you can travel easily and free of charge by public transport to the starting point and later back to Parc Hotel Florian.

Autumnal delights

Autumn in South Tyrol tastes of chestnuts, new wine, and hearty home-cooked food. The Törggelen season in South Tyrol runs throughout October and the first half of November. On all other evenings, we cook for you ourselves: our multi-course evening menu with colourful salads focuses primarily on local and seasonal produce and dishes – chestnuts, dumplings, and traditional South Tyrolean apple strudel.

More time for each other

Here, you’re not just a room number, but a guest with a name – all year round. This is most evident in autumn: the paths outside are all yours, the conversations indoors last longer, and nobody’s watching the clock. Our autumn offers for the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm show you when your autumn holiday in South Tyrol is particularly worthwhile: the “Autumn Delights in the Mt Sciliar/Schlern Area” offer runs from 15 October to 5 December.
